Fabian Waldinger joins the Department
Fabian Waldinger has joined the faculty on September 1, 2018. The economist transfered from the London School of Economics to the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. His research interests are on economics of innovation, economic history, and labour economics.
The faculty is happy to gain a new and highly prolific member. The Handelsblatt economist ranking ranked him the most influential economist from the German speaking countries under the age of 40. His research on the knowledge economy has been supported by the prestigious European Research Council Starting Grant. Professor Waldinger's research has been published in prestigious journal such as the American Economic Review, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Political Economy, the Review of Economic Studies, the Review of Economics and Statistics, and the Economic Journal.
